Having family living near New York City gave me the privilege of being able to visit quite a few times while growing up and I've always been grateful for that. It had been a pretty long time since I'd visited last, so I was so excited when my mom and I we're able to plan a trip and stay with my uncle in the Upper West Side. Also having gained a bigger passion for photography since being there previously, I couldn't wait to take all of the photos I possibly could and see the city with a new set of eyes.
While we were there, I got to meet up with my boyfriend and some of my closest friends: David, Christy, Evan, and Joe. It was so much fun and I'm so glad that we made it work. Spending the day all together was definitely my favorite memory from the trip.
Here are the photos from each day along with a video of the whole weekend. Enjoy!
Day 1 //
We arrived at the apartment and walked around the neighborhood, complete with coffee and the yummiest pastries, and ate Korean food for dinner!
Day 2 //
Met up with the gang at the Ace Hotel, walked south into the city, saw the Flatiron Building, Washington Square Park, ate delicious doughnuts, and walked some more while we braved the cold rainy weather!
Day 3 //
Even though I'd been to New York before, I had never seen Brooklyn, so I wanted to make sure we went on this trip and get pictures of the awesome views! The weather was so much nicer that day and it made for great photos. We went out to lunch, did some sight seeing and walked around East Village with my cousin Juliana.
I can't wait to go back!!
